New Delhi: In recent speculations on social media, followed by the rumours about the 2025 IPL mega auction, the talismanic wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant lashed out at a fan on X (formerly Twitter) for spreading rumours and suggesting in a tweet that Rishabh Pant approached Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to buy him ahead of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League.

It is worth mentioning that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to reveal the retention rules, it is a ‘silly season’ in the IPL with new updates from various places on which players will stay or leave their respective IPL franchises. Pant has been at the centre of attention with many linking him with a move to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) if MS Dhoni retires before the new revelation on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bidding for him.

If we talk about the Delhi Capital’s skipper, he called off on the possibility of him joining the Virat Kohli-starrer team and made a good word of comeback at sources for suggesting he approached the Bengaluru-based franchise while labelling the updates as ‘Fake News’.
