FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Thursday!
We'll see cloudy skies today, with drier conditions overall. Shower chances today will remain fairly isolated, with better chances to our south. We hang onto the muggy feel today, and into the next several days as tropical moisture continues to move through the eastern 1/3rd of the United States.
Remnants from what is currently Hurricane Helene will start to head into the Ohio Valley Friday, with rain in our southern counties first, during the morning, then overspreading the rest of the region. We hang onto scattered shower activity through the afternoon and evening.
Rain will continue in rounds for the Ohio Valley through the weekend. For Saturday, shower activity will be fairly spotty, increasing into the afternoon. Then for Sunday, more scattered showers continue through the state, as the area of low pressure slowly starts to move eastward through the Midwest.
A few lighter showers linger into the start of the next workweek, eventually working to clear up by midweek.
