0

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Would you like to help recognize a person or organization that's been a strong advocate for health, fitness and wellness in your community?

On Oct. 31, the Governor's Council on Wellness will open a nomination form to the public. You can nominate individuals who've made an impact on health awareness, disease prevention and well-being in Kansas.

“We are thrilled to see the efforts being made to improve health and wellness across Kanas,” Jody Love, GCOW Awards Committee Chair, said. “By recognizing these Health Champions, we hope to encourage even more individuals and organizations to make a positive impact in their communities.”

If you know a person or organization you'd like to nominate, click here. You will be required to give a brief description of the nominee's accomplishments and impact on their local community.

Winners will be notified through email and the awards will be announced in November. The awards ceremony will be held on Jan. 23 at the Community Health Promotion Summit at the Hilton Garden Inn in Manhattan.
