Airsoft zombie shootout coming to Dream Acres in Topeka
TOPEKA (KSNT) - How prepared are you for the zombie apocalypse?
Throughout October and into early November, Dream Acres will hold zombie airsoft shootouts, haunted haystack rides, a trunk & treat and more to benefit those with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
Starting in October, Dream Acres will hold an airsoft zombie hunt and hayride from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday until Nov. 2. The Topeka Haunted Woods 2024 event will cost $20 for the airsoft zombie hunt, $20 for the haunted hayride and $35 for combo tickets. The event will take place at Dream Acres at 3158 SE 10th Street.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, Dream Acres will hold a car show in conjunction with the haunted woods activities. Registration for the car show will cost $10. Food and drinks will be available and the Happy Basset Barrel House will be set up to serve customers. The car show will start at 1 p.m. and last until 5 p.m. and at 7 p.m. the zombie hunt and haystack rides begin.
Event organizer Cindy Leggitt said this will be the year's last Dream Acres car show. Leggit said she has three car shows planned for the spring, summer and fall next year.
