Three arrested for illegal trade of protected birds in Varanasi

The forest department in Varanasi apprehended three individuals involved in the illegal trade of protected bird species, including Plum-headed Parakeets, Rose-ringed Parakeets, and Munias. Acting on a tip-off, officials recovered numerous birds and registered a case under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Efforts are ongoing to combat this illicit activity.
