1. Man charged in hit-and-run of UAlbany student released on bond

Austin Breyette, the man accused of hitting a UAlbany student with an illegal dirt bike, has been released from jail on bond. Officials at the Albany County Jail told NEWS10 that Breyette was released on Tuesday.

2. Jury deliberations continue in Rensselaer Co ballot fraud trial

Jury deliberations continued Tuesday in the trial against three Rensselaer County officials accused of committing ballot fraud. Jurors at the James Foley US Federal Courthouse — located in Albany — did not reach a verdict by the court’s closing time.

3. Another week of school threats, parents surrender guns to police

In Scotia, Schenectady, and Queensbury, minors allegedly posted threats toward school districts on social media. On TikTok, one said “I’m gonna shoot up your school,” while another on Snapchat said, “I’m shooting the school tomorrow.” All the threats were traced back to the kids’ homes.

4. Trump suspect charged with attempted assassination, case lands in Cannon’s court

A federal grand jury on Tuesday indicted the man accused of showing up at one of former President Trump’s golf courses with a rifle on charges of attempting to assassinate a major presidential candidate.
