Granville girl saves sister from house fire

GRANVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A 12-year-old girl in Granville was honored after her heroic actions helped to save a life. In September, Adyson Lincoln-Lynch received the 'Hero Award' from the three town of Granville fire chiefs for her actions that helped save her sister's life.

Sam Larock, John David and their family are rebuilding after a devastating fire in August that destroyed their home. On August 18, a lithium battery that was charging sparked the fire.

At the time of the fire, 12-year-old Adyson was home with her little sister, Lillianna. After hearing a loud boom on the porch, Adyson put her fire prevention lessons, learned at school and from her mom, into action.

In September, Adyson Lincoln-Lynch received the 'Hero Award' from the three town of Granville fire chiefs for her actions that led to her saving her sister's life.
