Health officials in Parwan province report that around 500 people in the Shinwari district have been infected with an unidentified contagious disease.

Hekmatullah Shamim, the spokesperson for the governor of Parwan, stated on Wednesday, September 25, that these individuals have been suffering from the illness for several days in the district.

Provincial officials in Parwan further report that 50 people have lost their lives due to this disease.

Doctors in Parwan have described the symptoms of this contagious and unknown disease as weakness, pain in the arms and legs, diarrhea, and high fever.

Health authorities have also stated that the condition of those infected with this infectious disease is critical.

It is worth noting that the people affected by this disease are residents of the Dara-e-Kafshan area in the Shinwari district.

The outbreak of this mysterious disease has raised significant concerns among local and national health officials, especially given the high death toll.

The lack of clear diagnosis and treatment options exacerbates the situation, with fears that it could spread to other areas. Urgent international assistance and medical expertise are required to contain the outbreak and prevent further loss of life.
