4 events in Marin for movie lovers

• A screening of “Waiting for Life,” a documentary about a performance of “Waiting for Godot” by two men incarcerated at San Quentin, is at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Rafael Film Center at 1118 Fourth St. in San Rafael. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with director Staffan Julén, film subjects Donald “Twin” James and Reginald “Happy” Wilson, criminologists Amir Rostami and Jerzy Sarnecki, Lonnie Morris, president and co-founder of No More Tears, and Ja Jönson, the director of the San Quentin “Godot” performance. • The 47th annual Italian Film Festival, organized by Marin resident Lido Cantarutti, kicks off with “A Hundred Sundays” at 5:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday at the Angelico Concert Hall at Dominican University of California at 20 Olive Ave. in San Rafael.
