Isha Negi romantic Instagram post for boyfriend Rishabh Pant goes viral after wicketkeeper century in 1st Test vs Bangladesh, check HERE
Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant made a fairytale comeback in the 1st Test vs Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai last week. Pant, who was playing his first Test match after 629 days, scored his 6th Test century to equal the record of former India captain MS Dhoni for most centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper.
One person who was especially pleased by Pant’s performance was his girlfriend and model Isha Negi. The Dehradun girl shared a romantic post on Instagram on the day on which Pant notched up his Test ton and it soon went viral on social media.
Isha Negi wrote a three-word message, “Grateful, Thankful, Blessed” which the netizens feel was in obvious reference to her boyfriend Pant, who had suffered a life-threatening car accident in December 2022 which kept him out of international cricket or more than a year.

The Delhi Capitals skipper himself was delighted by his performance in the Chennai Test. “Definitely a lot special, first I love playing in Chennai and secondly after injury I was looking to play all three formats, this was my first match in this format and hopefully I did better. Definitely it was emotional, I was looking to score runs in each and every game,” Pant told BCCI in an interview after the match.
Pant returned to Test cricket in the two-match Test series after his life-threatening road accident back in 2022-end. Pant’s emotional journey back to the field highlighted his deep connection with Test cricket.
“Coming back to Test cricket where I belong the most, being on the field gives me pleasure more than anything else,” he said.
Pant revealed his mindset during critical moments. “I don’t know what people say outside, I tried to read the situation in my own way, when you are 30-3 you need to stitch a partnership and that’s what I did with Gill. To do it with a guy who I have a great relationship with is special,” he added.
The Indian wicketkeeper will now be seen in action in the second Test against Bangladesh which gets underway at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Friday (September 27).
