APD investigating after 2 bodies found at northwest Austin apartment complex
AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is investigating after two dead bodies were found at a northwest Austin apartment complex, APD Officer Leah Ratliff said during a media briefing Tuesday.
Around 12:17 p.m., Ratliff said 911 dispatch received a call for a check welfare at the apartment complex, located in the 5700 block of Diehl Trail. That's near Parmer Lane and McNeil Drive.
Officers arrived on the scene around 2:39 p.m. and found two people dead, Ratliff said. Homicide detectives were on the scene investigating, police said. Ratliff said this was an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the public.

This is being investigated as Austin's 46th homicide of 2024, according to police.
