Editorial: Fed rate right

The Federal Reserve Board not only cut interest rates for the first time in four years with a half-point cut last week, but also signaled a change in priorities from inflation to employment. The old Ohio admonition that “the best social program is a job” causes us to believe the Fed’s shift was not a moment too soon.
