Joshua Jackson Is Raising Eyebrows After Being Seen With a New Woman Amid His Lupita Nyong’o Romance

In October 2023, Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o made headlines when they were photographed getting cozy for the first time at a Janelle Monáe concert. At the time, Jackson was a few months into his divorce from fellow actress Jodie Turner-Smith while Nyong’o announced her split from boyfriend Selema Masekela shortly after.

Since then, Jackson and the Oscar winner appeared to be going steady, with pictures of them hiking in Joshua Tree in December 2023 and celebrating her 41st birthday in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in March 2024, per People.

In fact, Turner-Smith even gave the couple her well wishes in June. “Good for them,” she told The Cut about her ex and Nyong’o. “We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent. I’m trying to get us to the Gwyneth and Chris Martin level. I truly hope they’re happy and that it benefits us as a family.”

But, while fans of Jackson and Nyong’o might’ve just started to “ship” them together, the Doctor Odyssey star was pictured by Deuxmoi recently with German model and brand manager Nastassja Roberts.

In the pictures, taken outside of the premiere of Ryan Murphy’s new show Grotesquerie, Jackson’s seen walking behind Roberts in an all-brown look with silky pants and black velvet loafers. Roberts, for her part, is wearing a textured skin-hugging dress with thigh-high slits. She then styled the look with strappy heels and a slicked-back bun.

In the comments, fans of Jackson are having mixed reactions. While some are happy for the actor for dating another beautiful woman, others can’t help but question what happened with Nyong’o and criticize how fast he seems to have moved on.

“He moves on like the flash,” wrote one commenter. “Damn Pacey moves quick! ????????” another user echoed, referring to Jackson’s role as Pacey in Dawson’s Creek.

“We are all here for the Pacey Witter renaissance,” another user said. “JJ is the modern-day George Clooney,” another said of his womanizing ways. “How far he’s come since Capeside.”

But while we may be scratching our heads right now as to where Jackson and Nyong’o stand, it’s safe to say the actress likely won’t make any public clarification. “There is a time to be open and there’s a time not to be, and I chose that time to be open,” Nyong’o told Glamour about her decision to share her relationship with Masekela with the world. “I’m very happy with what I did, and I don’t want to do it anymore,” she stated back in June. “I don’t want to share that part of myself anymore.”

Regardless of how or if they’ve ended things, we’re guessing we might stay in the dark for at least a while longer.
