Severe thunderstorm warnings issued in NE Kansas
Update: The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Osage and Shawnee Counties. This warning comes with possible 60 mile per hour winds and more than half-inch hail. This warning is in effect until 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24.
The severe thunderstorm warnings expired for Jackson County at 5:08 p.m. The warning has extended for southwest Jefferson and northeast Shawnee Counties until 5:45 p.m.
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Several northeast Kansas counties are under severe storm watches Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service (NWS) announced that Jackson, Pottawatomie and Shawnee Counties have been issued severe thunderstorm warnings. These warnings come with possible 60 mile per hour winds and one inch hail.
The warnings are in effect until 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
