OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Death Row inmate Emmanuel Littlejohn is making a final appeal to Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt while his execution is set for this week.
Emmanuel Littlejohn has spent 30 years on death row for the murder of convenience store
manager Kenny Meers who was shot and killed during a robbery in 1992.
According to Littlejohn, he claims he is not responsible for Mears death and says his accomplice
pulled the trigger. Oklahoma's Pardon and Parole Board recommended clemency for Littlejohn in a recorded message released on Monday. Littlejohn is asking Governor Stitt to spare his life.
As of this publishing, Governor Stitt's office has not responded. The execution is set to be carried out this Thursday in McAlester.
