Inside Cara Delevingne’s comeback as Brit is toast of Paris Fashion Week two years after rehab stint to beat drugs

CARA DELEVINGNE topped off a remarkable two-year career comeback at Paris Fashion Week.

Braless, in a bright red trench, matching pants and black platforms, the British beauty stole the limelight as she took to the runway for L’Oreal’s showcase.

The 32-year-old looked happy and healthy — a world away from when she hit rock bottom in September 2022.

Shortly after her 30th birthday, she was seen looking dishevelled and acting erratically at the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles.

She had reportedly spent “days not showering and not eating” as she partied at Burning Man, a music festival in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.

The images and videos quickly went global, resulting in Cara checking into rehab after clocking she was “in a bad place”.

Up until that point she admits she wasn’t ready to be helped and had not seen a therapist, something she used to do regularly, in three years.

Reflecting on that time and her battle with drugs, she told Vogue in March last year: “If you have problems going into this industry, they will only get magnified and exacerbated. There is nothing about it that makes it better.”

Cara, who was known for her love of partying as much as for her modelling, adds of her former drug use: “There’s an element of feeling invincible when I’m on drugs. I put myself in danger in those moments because I don’t care about my life.

“From September, I needed support. I needed to start reaching out. And my old friends I’ve known since I was 13 all came over and we started crying. They looked at me and said, ‘You deserve a chance to have joy.’ ”

After completing a 12-step programme, Cara is now sober and looks to be back at the top of her game.

Beaming, the former child star strode along as she fronted L’Oreal’s Walk Your Worth show to kick off Paris Fashion Week.

After strutting the catwalk solo, she was joined by fellow brand ambassadors Kendall Jenner, 28, Eva Longoria, 49, and singer Camila Cabello, 27.

Jane Fonda, 86, also took to the runway at the Palais Garnier Opera House — standing out in a silver sequinned jacket.

The actress and activist swerved heels for comfy trainers.

Cara’s Paris Fashion Week gig comes off the back of a successful run in London’s West End.

Having featured in 2015 film Paper Towns and 2016’s Suicide Squad, she played the lead role of Sally Bowles in Cabaret from March until June this year.

Her performance was lauded by critics and fans alike.

She has said of her career: “Work is extremely important, but work is secondary because my self-work is the most important thing.”

It’s clear Cara has a bright future ahead of her once more.

All power to L'Oreal

By Tracey Lea Sayer

BEAUTY giant L’Oréal promised “empowerment, inclusion and sisterhood” with its Walk Your Worth show – and boy did it deliver.

As A-lister glamazonians marched down the runway, they encouraged the crowds to shout their names.

This show had the feel good-factor and then some.

Even when Spanish-Mexican singer Belinda took a tumble and was helped back up, the crowd cheered her on.

This high-end, high-octane show felt like a return to the decadent Eighties when glamour reigned.

Eva Longoria stunned in a frothy ethereal white gown, Jane Fonda rocked a metallic trench while Kendall Jenner’s asymmetrical dress in pill box red was eye-popping.

Heidi Klum looked sensational in a skin-tight vinyl number, Andie MacDowell shimmered in a silver corseted column dress and Rochelle Humes worked a cropped top with a slinky fishtail maxi skirt.

That is how to open Paris Fashion Week – and why more than half your beauty buys are probably by L’Oréal  . . . because YOU ARE WORTH IT!
