FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Today we will see high temperatures topping off in the upper 70s. Later this afternoon and evening more showers and thunderstorms will move through central Ohio. There is a marginal risk for severe weather with isolated areas seeing chances for strong wind gusts.
Some areas of central Ohio may see another 0.25″-0.50″ inches of rain. Heavier totals may been seen in the southeastern portion of the state.
More spotty rain showers will continue overnight. Most of us will miss out on those showers, but all of us will still see mostly cloudy skies. Lows will fall to the low-mid 60s. Because of the recent rain, it will continue to feel a bit muggy overnight.
There will be a few other opportunities for showers during the second half of the week by way of the tropics. Newly formed tropical storm Helene will try and bring additional rain showers late Friday.
Additional rain shower chances will stick around throughout the weekend. All of this rain will only put a minor dent into our precipitation deficits, but it is still more than welcomed.
