Pittsfield's Halloween Parade to return in October
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The Pittsfield Department of Community Development Recreation Program announced the return of the Halloween Parade in Pittsfield. It will be held on Friday, October 25 at 7 p.m. on Tyler Street.
The 2024 theme for the parade is "Spooky Hollywood." Participants in the parade are encouraged to base their float and costume designs around their favorite Halloween movie.
Each float must fill out the Halloween parade application packet. The deadline for completion is Friday, October 11.
For anyone planning to have a float, there will be a float seminar on Thursday at 6 p.m. at City Hall in Room 203. Those interested in having a float must have a representative present at this meeting.
A new participant meeting will also be held on October 22 at 6 p.m. in the same room in City Hall. Also, trick or treat is scheduled for Thursday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. rain or shine. Those participating should leave their porch light on.
