OCM launches new application tool for licensees
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) launched a new tool designed to make the application process more efficient, transparent, and affordable. It is called Legal Online Cannabis Activities Locator (LOCAL).
LOCAL was developed with data from the Cannabis Licensing System to navigate the complexities of compliance and location requirements. With this interactive map, users can find dispensaries that have both active and pending licenses, making it easier and less expensive to get location data.
"LOCAL is a paradigm shift for New York’s cannabis industry, providing both businesses and stakeholders with the resources they need to successfully navigate the rapidly growing market," said Felicia A.B. Reid, Acting Executive Director of the New York State Office of Cannabis Management. "This application reflects OCM’s commitment to transparency and to action based on listening to the needs of the market."
