Leeds United’s US owners think bigger stadium as they push for Premier League return
September 24 – Leeds United have announced plans to increase the capacity of their stadium to accommodate 53,000 supporters.
The Elland Road ground can currently hold 37,645 fans and has maintained a strong attendance despite spending 16 years in the Championship up to 2020 before being promoted back to the top tier only to be relegated two seasons later.
There are also 26,000 supporters on the waiting list for season tickets.
