'Ew – no thank you!' MSNBC's Mika repulsed by Trump's pandering to women

Donald Trump reportedly isn't very popular with women voters, and MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski was skeeved out by his recent efforts to win them over.

Recent polling showed Kamala Harris with a 49-44 percent lead nationwide, but with a historically unprecedented 58-37 percent lead among women. And during a rally Monday night in Pennsylvania, the former president repeated statements he hopes will appeal to wary women that he posted in all capital letters over the weekend on Truth Social.

"I am your protector," Trump said. "I want to be your protector as president, I have to be your protector. I hope you don't make too much of it. I hope the fake news doesn't go, 'Oh, he wants to be their protector.' Well, I am. As president, I have to be your protector.

"I will make you safe at the border, on the sidewalks, in the subways where you are under migrant criminal siege and our military protecting you from foreign enemies, of which we have many today because of the incompetent leadership we have. You will no longer be abandoned or scared. You won't be in danger any longer. You will no longer have anxiety from all of the problems our country has today. You will be protected and I will be your protector."

“You will be happy, healthy, confident and free," he added "You will no longer be thinking about abortion.”

Brzezinski wrinkled her nose in disgust after hearing that Trump, who was found liable of sexually abusing author E. Jean Carroll and bragged about molesting women on an "Access Hollywood" recording, was trying to position himself as a "protector" of women.

"Ew, no thank you," Brzezinski said. "No thank you. We don't need that, any of that. Women like their rights and they like their access to health care and they like someone that tells the truth and doesn't consistently lie like that."
