A FAMILY was left in hysterics after a clumsy pup knocked a grandmother off her feet during a game of fetch.

Debra Martin, 54, landed flat on her face after her one-year-old golden retriever played with her granddaughter in the garden.

The chaotic scene unfolded when she nipped outside to throw rubbish in the bin.

Unbeknown to Debra, Zoey, eight, had lobbed the toy for Teddy the dog from a swing set in the distance.

Hell-bent on catching the ball, Teddy slammed into her legs – knocking her clean off her feet.

She lost both sliders and one sock in the collision, which left her giggling on the floor.

Thankfully Debra, from Kelty, Scotland was left unscathed and found the incident hilarious.

Reflecting on the moment captured on an outdoor Ring camera, she said: “Because I went down so hard, everybody thought I must have hurt myself but, other than hurting my pride, I was absolutely fine!

“I’d actually forgotten about the incident but suddenly remembered at a house party a few days later.

“I asked my son-in-law how far back I can go to find the footage and he said I should be able to retrieve all my videos.

“I went back through the footage by a few days and found it. Of course, everybody was in hysterics!”

It wasn’t just Debra who got caught up in the canine madness, her cat Milo nearly lost one of his nine lives.

The 12-year-old kitty jumped out of the way and onto the garden shed roof just in the nick of time.

She laughed: “His only interest was finding the ball. Not for me. Nothing. Zero. He likes his treats but he’s just obsessed with tennis balls! There’s nothing in the world he loves more than that ball!”

Teddy may only be a puppy, but the average weight of a one-year-old golden retriever is 60-70 pounds – more than enough to make an impact while travelling at high speed.

Debra added: “He’s a big dog so he just forgets his own size sometimes. But I love everything about him, even when he’s knocking me off my feet!”
