Centre to launch pilot project on urban poverty alleviation in 25 cities on October 1

The three-month pilot project will cover 25 cities across the country. The programme is aimed at uplifting vulnerable groups within the informal sector such as construction workers and gig workers, and at ensuring equitable distribution of the benefits of urbanisation.
