SC asks CAQM to apprise it about steps taken to curb pollution, stubble burning

The Supreme Court has asked the Commission for Air Quality Management to explain the steps being taken to curb air pollution from crop residue burning. The court wants a response by September 27, when the issue will be discussed. Stubble burning in neighboring states is a significant cause of winter air pollution in Delhi-NCR.
