HUD gave $10-million tenant organizing grant to L.A. landlord who tenants say blocked their organizing

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development awarded a $10-million grant this month to the AIDS Healthcare Foundation to assist tenants in low-income developments with organizing. But foundation tenants say the nonprofit is stopping them from unionizing in its buildings.
