In a recent police operation, Mohammad Zahid alias Sonu, the kingpin behind the killing of two Railway Police Force jawans, was killed in an encounter. Sonu was intercepted while attempting to transport liquor to Bihar. Several gang members have been arrested or injured in previous encounters.
