WATCH: Hezbollah 'Reporter' Injured as Bomb Lands Outside His Home During Live TV Hit
A Lebanese reporter known to disseminate pro-Hezbollah propaganda was reportedly injured after an Israeli bomb landed outside his home during a live television interview. The reporter, Fadi Boudia, let out a guttural scream before his camera cut.
Boudia, described by some as "one of Hezbollah's top propagandists," was preparing for an interview on Israel's Monday airstrikes when a bomb apparently detonated near his home, injuring him.
Footage of the incident shows Boudia, the editor of Lebanon's Miraya International Network, setting up his camera before a loud explosion is heard and he drops to the ground screaming. The television station quickly cut away from the scene. The missile is reported to have smashed through his window.
Israeli forces on Monday launched strikes on more than 1,300 Hezbollah strongholds across Lebanon, killing more than 270 and wounding at least 1,000 more. Israel's campaign, the largest in nearly a year of conflict with Hezbollah, included strikes on weapons depots and other operation centers used by the terror group to wreak havoc across Israel's northern territories. Israel sent text messages and made phone calls to scores of civilians in these areas, warning them to move away from Hezbollah depots ahead of the airstrikes.
"Whoever tries to hurt us, we hurt him even more," Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after his country used heavy rockets, warheads, and armed drones to destroy Hezbollah's strongholds. "I promised that we would change the security balance, the balance of power in the north—this is exactly what we are doing. We destroy thousands of missiles and rockets aimed at Israeli cities and Israeli citizens."
Israel says it is already planning for the next stage of the war and will not hold back fire. Hezbollah also promises to escalate its strikes and has already launched hundreds of rockets at sites deep inside Israel, including the port city of Haifa.
As the conflict worsens, the Pentagon announced it is deploying additional American troops to the region, where they will join around 40,000 other soldiers already deployed.
