Naturalizer is continuing its relationship with Deepica Mutyala, founder and CEO of inclusive beauty brand Live Tinted, with the release of a shoe known as the Unity Boot. Marked at a price point of $265, the boot is available for pre-order beginning today, Sept. 23, at Naturalizer.com.

The limited-edition Naturalizer x Deepica Mutyala Unity Boot features hand-painted leather in metallic ombre, which draws inspiration from Mutyala’s 1-2-3 tones seen in her debut collaboration with Naturalizer. The new design pays homage to the concealer shades offered through her Live Tinted brand.

The boot shaft reaches around the calf area while the wearer is offered a slight boost by a relatively low heel. As a reinterpretation of Naturalizer’s Deesha boot, the Unity Boot is available in narrow calf, medium calf, wide calf and extra wide calf sizes. It also features the brand’s Contoured Calf Technology.

Mutyala said of the new shoe, “The ombre illuminates the hues of different skin tones on one shoe. It continues the message of unity and helping people feel seen.”

Naturalizer writes in an official release, “Mutyala is transforming the beauty narrative, championing equal representation and creating a platform for women to feel seen and be heard with her inclusive beauty brand, Live Tinted. Her latest design collaboration with Naturalizer — The Unity Boot — helps every woman feel seen.”

Mutyala’s partnership with Naturalizer began in the spring of 2024 with the launch of their first collaboration featuring slides inspired by concealer shades. In August, Mutyala was named a Global Inclusivity Ambassador for the brand.

Mutyala spoke to FN about her first Naturalizer collaboration. “I was telling my team that I really want to do a fashion collab because of the intersection of fashion and beauty,” she said. “Something that I’m really interested in is the idea of comfort and just being comfortable in your skin and in your fashion. They go hand in hand, so I’ve always wanted to do that.”

Naturalizer is known for championing inclusivity with its shoes. Natelle Badelley, chief product officer at parent company Caleres, spoke to FN earlier this year about the brand’s latest efforts related to this goal. “Central to Naturalizer’s product lens of innovating on inclusivity, offering hard-to-find sizes and widths has always been our mission,” Baddeley told FN. “We set our sights on extending our boot calf sizes decades ago. More recently, consumer insights told us that wide and narrow calf women were not able to wear the styles the way that they wanted, and we set out to solve that.”
