Israel has 'every right' to defend itself, says US State Department spokesperson

Speaking to France 24 correspondent Jessica Le Masurier on Monday, Deputy Spokesperson for the US State Department Vedant Patel said Israel has "every right to defend themselves and every right to defend their security," but "how they do that matters." When asked if Netanyahu is ignoring the US' demands, Patel said, "[every] day is another reminder of why we need to get a ceasefire as swiftly as possible."
