Milestones: Good news about Marin people

Director’s list: Gia Ciolino, of Novato, was named to the director’s list at the Early College program at the University of Alabama for the summer 2024 semester.

Recognition: Tyler Colenbrander, of Novato, was named a Knight-Hennessy scholar at Stanford University, where he’ll pursue a PhD in electrical engineering. Each Knight-Hennessy scholar receives up to three years of financial support to pursue graduate studies at Stanford.

Scholarships: Jake A. Prenter, of Marin Catholic High School; Daniel Filler, Nicholas Hartung and Charles Scott, all of Redwood High School; Fiona Bailey, of Tamalpais High School; Ishwar K. Jayaraman, Nathaniel G. Johnson, Alexander Moon, Rebecca Rudy and Owen Xu, all of the Branson School; Aiden Frank, a homeschool or online student in San Anselmo; Claire McCarthy, of Terra Linda High School; and Toby A. Street, of Marin Academy, were named semifinalists for the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program.
