Rodri ‘set to miss the rest of the SEASON as initial tests suggest Man City star has torn cruciate ligaments’
RODRI is expected to miss the rest of the season in a shock blow for Manchester City
City’s key midfielder reportedly suffered torn cruciate ligaments in Sunday’s 2-2 home draw with Arsenal.
Rodri went down in apparent agony just EIGHT seconds into the dramatic Premier League match.
And he was finally taken off midway through the first half, replaced by fellow anchorman Mateo Kovacic.
Spanish outlet AS say medical examinations on Monday are far less optimistic than the previous day.
They reckon the Euro 2024 winner is now expected to sit out the rest of the campaign as tests revealed a serious ligament injury.
It’s understood the 28-year-old will head to Madrid for a “complete check-up” to see the full extent of the damage.
