Solar parts manufacturers seek government protection from cheap imports

Indian solar component producers are seeking trade protections against a surge of imports from countries like China and Vietnam. The Solar Ancillary Manufacturers’ Association has requested the government to impose tariff and non-tariff barriers to support local manufacturers. They argue that these measures will help expand domestic capacity and create a level playing field.
