India Prime Minister's US visit brings him to New York and celebration of cultural ties
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States has brought him to New York. On Sunday, Modi addressed an estimated 13,000 people at a cultural celebration at Long Island's Nassau Coliseum. Speaking for more than an hour, Modi praised the United States’ return this week of nearly 300 antiquities to India. The appearance came a day after Modi attended a summit hosted by President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, with other world leaders. On Monday, the prime minister is expected to attend a United Nations summit in advance of this week’s General Assembly.
