Sam Quek’s husband slams Strictly judges over her low score as she makes debut on show
SAM Quek’s husband has slammed the Strictly judges over her low score after making her debut on the BBC show.
The former field hockey player, 35, took to the dance floor for the first time with partner Nikita Kuzmin, 26, on Saturday night.
The pair danced the fox trot to The Supremes’ tune Where Did Our Love Go.
Sam and Nikita were given a total of 23 from the panel.
Her husband entrepreneur Thomas Mairs didn’t hold back on what he thought about one of the judges’ scores on social media.
Thomas wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Hmm…@TheAntonDuBeke only scored one other couple lower than @SamanthaQuek and @kuzmin__nikita.”
After the dance, Anton told her: “You’ve got the most beautiful arm position.
“It’s gorgeous.
“I’m so delighted because you’ve got it straight away!”
Despite the positive feedback, the professional dancer gave her a five.
Meanwhile Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse awarded her a six.
Sam and Nikita are currently seventh on the leadboard.
JLS legend JB Gill and Amy Dowden are currently at the top with 31, followed by Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec and Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola with 30.
Sam’s husband Thomas, who has appeared on Channel 4‘s Secret Millionaire, works in property.
The happy couple have been together for eight years.
Sam and Thomas got engaged in 2017 and got married the following year.
