BIG Brother’s return date has officially been revealed by ITV – and it’s just days away.

The broadcaster has confirmed exactly when the revamped reality house will open for business.

AJ Odudu and Will Best will host the live launch on Sunday, October 6th on ITV2 and ITVX.

It marks a change from last year’s civilian Big Brother launch, which was completely pre-recorded.

Teasing the launch, ITV said: “Hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, Big Brother: Live Launch will reveal a new batch of housemates as they prepare to take up residence in the nation’s most iconic house, which has been given a fresh lick of paint ahead of the new series.

“Expect gripping nominations, elaborate tasks, live evictions plus new twists and turns with all the must-see action playing out inside this famous abode.

“The public once again holds all the cards, voting throughout the series and ultimately deciding who will leave this experience with a life changing cash prize. Who wins? You decide.”

The Sun first revealed the change to the launch format after its celebrity spin-off aired its debut episode live earlier this year.

Big Brother execs have also confirmed the reality show’s companion series Late and Live will also return.

It will see a live studio audience along with a celeb panel discuss the latest house action with AJ and Will.

The iconic live stream is also making a comeback, with die-hard fans able to view house footage into the early hours on ITVX, seven nights a week.

We previously revealed how ITV bosses were given the green light to rebuilt the iconic TV abode in the same location as last year.

The house – which is based inside a giant studio in Harlesden, North West London – was deconstructed after the end of Celebrity Big Brother in March.

As part of the plans, which were approved by council chiefs last month, the live outdoor set will return.

Also included in the planning permission is the show’s iconic garden, a separate structure that’s adjacent to the house.
