Airport arrest for man in possession of ‘joint’

A passenger was arrested at Paphos airport after traces of cannabis were found in a hand-rolled cigarette in his possession over the weekend.

According to the police, the 50-year-old outbound traveler was intercepted shortly after 8pm by officers of the immigration service who found him in possession of a 10cm cigarette made of tobacco mixed with cannabis plant matter.

The man was arrested, accused in writing, and released to be summoned later.
