Ayushman Bharat PM-Jay scheme introduced by PM Modi marks six years since launch

The Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23, 2018, celebrated its sixth anniversary. The scheme provides health coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family annually for secondary and tertiary care to over 55 crore individuals. Recently, the Union Cabinet approved extending benefits to all senior citizens aged 70 and above.
