FEMA disaster recovery center to open in St. Mary Parish on Monday. Here's what to know
ST. MARY PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- A FEMA Disaster Recovery Center will be open Monday in Morgan City to provide one-on-one help to residents affected by Hurricane Francine, officials announced.
FEMA and the Governor's Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness said the center will operate from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The center in St. Mary Parish will be held at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium, 728 Myrtle Street in Morgan City.
Residents do not have to visit the center to apply for FEMA disaster assistance. Applications can be done online at disasterassistance.gov.
Applications for assistance can also be done through the FEMA App on mobile devices or by calling the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362 between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.
