McEvoy makes history in the 5-Year-Old World Championship on Final Day in Lanaken
On a day of mixed fortune for Irish riders in the final of 5-Year-Old final at the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken, Belgium, Niamh McEvoy cemented her dominance of that age category by following up on her victory in the Consolation Final with BP Lucky Clover (ISH) by taking the Gold medal on board the Ballypatrick Stables owned mare Orange De Baugy (KWPN). 20 horses made it into the jump-off, and while no Irish-bred horses were counted among that number, four Irish riders were; Jason Foley was double handed with both Castlefield Future (OS) and Ti Amore van de Doornhaag (BWP), Sophie Richards with Top Gun VD Bisschop (BWP), Michael Duffy with Jericho De Hus (SF) and McEvoy with her recently acquired Dutch mare Orange De Baugy, whose sire Dominator 2000 Z (ZANG) stands in the Zangersheide Stud where McEvoy made history by being […]
