Vicario is adamant Postecoglou’s style of play can bring Tottenham success
Guglielmo Vicario believes that Tottenham’s current style of play will lead the club to success over the long term, calling on his teammates to stick together and continue believing in the approach.
Can Tottenham’s style actually bring success?
There has been a lot said and written about Spurs’ style and whether it can bring them success at this level.
The one thing that is clear is that Ange Postecoglou will not change his principles, with the Australian having a deep-seated belief that this is the best way to bring success to the club.
Vicario too believes that the Lilywhites have not got the just rewards that their performances have deserved this season and called on his teammates to ‘believe more and more’ in the approach.
Vicario calls on his teammates to stick together
He said (Sky Italia via TuttoMercatoWeb): “If we look at the results, which is what catches the eye the most and what people look at, it’s normal to say that we haven’t started as we expected, but I can say with certainty that we collected less than we deserved.
“What we expressed is noteworthy, probably in key moments we were not so bad and determined as to make the wind turn in our direction and that is the problem and the explanation why we have few points.
“However, there are certainties on which we can rely, we must never lose them along the way and one of these is having our own identity, which must give us the strength to believe more than before in what football can be played in the next matches.”

If we continue struggling to pick up wins, it is inevitable that doubts will start creeping into the minds of players about Postecoglou’s system and it might be difficult for the Australian to recover from that point. That is why it is crucial that we turn things around soon, just like we showed against Brentford.
