Bengal Power secretary steps down from DVC board, chief engineer from DVRRC

West Bengal Power Secretary Santanu Basu and the state's Chief Engineer of Irrigation and Waterways have resigned from their roles in the Damodar Valley Corporation and its Reservoir Regulation Committee. This follows a dispute between the state and central government over water release from DVC reservoirs, which led to severe flooding in West Bengal.
