Christina Hall’s Project With Ex Tarek El Moussa & His Wife Has Fans Wondering Their Relationship Status
Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa have turned the post-divorce playbook on its head, proving that not every split has to end in perpetual awkwardness or bitter financial battles. This former couple is not just co-parenting their kids, Taylor and Brayden, but also co-starring in a new HGTV series, ‘The Flip Off.’
Initially planned to include Christina’s now-ex, Josh Hall, the show is now just set to star Tarek, Christina, and Heather Rae. And while past promotions have played with how similar the two women look, the show’s latest promo has some fans wondering just how close the three home renovation stars are.
The latest promo video, posted on Sept. 16, features “Me, You, and Steve” by Garfunkel and Oates. For those unfamiliar with the tune, the lyrics are all about being the dreaded third wheel. In the video, the El Moussa pose with their arms around each other, until Christina butts in the middle in a playful manner. To many, it seemed like a light-hearted way to downplay the fact that her ex Hall is no longer in the picture after Christina went through a particularly contentious divorce. Some fans, however, felt that the three looked pretty comfortable together.
“This is getting weird,” commented one fan. “This looks like a sister wives commercial,” another added, seeming to reference how Christina and Heather look a lot alike.
Still, not everyone was convinced that the trio’s ability to get along despite past romantic entanglements automatically implied they were in a polyamorous relationship or a “throuple.” Some people saw it for what it likely it: three adults who are friends and work to keep their blended family life a positive one.
“Modern family! For the kids ❤️,” said one fan, with many others echoing the sentiment. Others pointed out that a big reason Tarek and Christina were so successful to begin with is because of their chemistry, noting how they’ve made other shows post-divorce that showcase their professional but still playful working relationship. “Glad they are all at a place where they can collaborate together. I’m sure it was a pretty good offer from the network. People still like the flipping dynamic between Christina & Tarek . They continued to make a great show those last few years.”
Let’s be real, even if the trio were romantically linked (which they probably aren’t — they’re just marketing pros), they’re all adults. Whether it’s business, friendship, or just clever showmanship, it looks like everyone’s having a blast and rocking a healthy blended family vibe, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
