Death toll rises to 32 after methane leak causes explosion at eastern Iran coal mine, state TV says

Iranian state media reported that a methane leak sparked an explosion at a coal mine in eastern Iran and killed at least 32 people. At least 17 others were injured. State-run TV pn Sunday provided a new death toll for the disaster at the mine in Tabas. The report said that at least 32 people had been killed. The explosion struck a coal mine in Tabas which is about 335 miles southeast of Iranian capital Tehran. It said authorities had sent emergency personnel to the area. Around 70 people had been working there at the time of the blast which happened late Saturday.
