‘Mohan Majhi is Odisha PM, This isn’t Delhi’: Video shows Army officer’s fiancée in scuffle with locals on Bharatpur Road
Ankita Pradhan Odisha: A video has surfaced on social media sites showing an Army officer and his fiancee involved in a heated argument which later devolved into a scuffle, with a group of locals on a road in Odisha’s Bhubaneshwar, before they went to the Bharatpur Police Station to file a complaint against the attackers, but were allegedly sexually and physically abused by police personnel.
The shocking video, which has gone viral on social media platforms, shows the couple being surrounded by a group of men who are heckling and hurling abuses at the duo while shoving the woman.
“I am talking to people who are trying to misbehave (with me),” the woman is heard in the viral clip. “Nobody is misbehaving with you,” responds a man from amongst the group.
“Sir, I am not speaking to you. I am talking to people misbehaving with me. Its my car and my choice whether I want to show my legs or my hair,” the woman says in Hindi, to which another man responds, “yes, but don’t show it us”.

‘Mohan Majhi is Odisha PM’
The verbal tiff soon devolves into a scuffle as the woman questions their right to question her choices.
“Would you show Mohan Majhi the middle-finger if he were here?” asks a man from the group to which the woman replies that she has no clue who Majhi is.
“He is Odisha’s Prime Minister,” the attackers shout in unison.
The men start pushing and shoving the woman, but she does not back off and instead gets into a scuffle with the men as one of the assailants asks the Army officer to make her understand that “this isn’t Delhi”.
Sensing the situation getting out of hand, the Armyman escorts his fiancee to the car while shielding her from the attackers who continue to deride her with the verbal abuses, the video shows.
At the end of the video, the woman is seen in the car with the door open which is slammed shut by one of the men even as she yells that she will file a police complaint against them.
“Arre ja (go ahead and do it),” replies a man in a nonchalant tone.
Sexually, physically assaulted by cops in Bharatpur Police Station
The video surfaced days after the Army officer and his fiancee alleged that they were subjected to sexual and physical abuse by cops at the Bharatpur Police Station in Bhubaneswar where they had gone to file a complaint in connection with the late-night attack.
The alleged incident took place on September 15 when the couple had gone to the police station to report an incident of road rage.
The woman, a retired Army Brigadier’s daughter, had been arrested by the Bharatpur Police, but was given bail by the Orissa High Court on September 19.
The woman revealed her horrifying ordeal to the media, alleging that she and her fiancee were assaulted by policemen. The woman claimed she was repeatedly kicked in the chest by the cops and later, a senior police inspector forcibly took off her pants and also exposed himself to her.

Following widespread outrage over the incident, five policemen, including the Inspector-in-charge of Bharatpur Police Station, were suspended by the Odisha Police.
