Oaks Amusement Park files complaint against ride manufacturer after AtmosFEAR incident
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Several months after 28 guests were stuck upside down on a ride at Oaks Amusement Park, the park announced they are filing a complaint against the ride's manufacturer.
The ride, AtmosFEAR, became stuck at its zenith on Jun 14, 2024, leaving the riders trapped upside down 50 feet in the air for nearly 30 minutes.
In a court document dated Sept. 19, Oaks Park filed a claim against Italian company Zamperla, claiming that they are "negligent and responsible" for the incident.
The complaint also states that Zamperla is liable for all losses, costs and attorney fees claiming the ride-maker failed to keep it safe.
KOIN 6 News reached out to Oaks Park who declined to comment on pending litigation.
We also reached out to Zamperla USA for comment and they have not responded.
