1 killed, 1 wounded in Austin shooting
A man was killed and another wounded Saturday night in Austin on the West Side.
The men, ages 48 and 52, were in a yard about 8:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Lawler Avenue when someone in the area fired shots, Chicago police said.
The younger man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, where he died, police said.
The other man was taken in good condition to the same hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.
No one was in custody.
