Match Preview: Queen’s Park v Motherwell – 22 Sept 24
Despite two tough loses away from home, The Spiders can take plenty of positives from the performances, and are still in a position to leapfrog their opponents with a win on Sunday.
Motherwell currently sit two places above Queen’s Park, tied with Montrose on six points; Montrose having already played and lost in their Matchday 8 fixture.
Paul Brownlie’s side will be looking for solace on the road after their run of two home games ended in 0-4 and 0-1 defeats; to Partick Thistle and Glasgow City respectively.
Queen’s Park come into Sunday’s match with six points from seven games, and a point above the relegation zone.
Looking ahead to the match, Craig Joyce commented: “It’ll be nice to back at home as we face Motherwell. The last few weeks on the road have been challenging, however, despite not recording a win, I believe there is plenty of good elements we can take into this weekend’s match.
Motherwell are an established top-flight side and it’ll make for a difficult game, but we’ve shown already this season that we can more than match sides in the league.”
