BP Lucky Clover lives up to her name for Niamh McEvoy on Day 3 of Lanaken

Niamh McEvoy and the Ballypatrick Stables team had a day to remember on Day 3 of the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses, where members of the Team Ireland Equestrian Young Horse Jumping Squad, supported by Redmond Property Maintenance, were in action in the Consolation Finals. Drawn 85th to go in a 129-strong field, McEvoy and the 5-Year-Old mare BP Lucky Clover (ISH) showed that luck was no factor in their Consolation Final when galloping home in a time of 59.22, just point .04 of a second ahead of second placed British rider Thomas Pritchard and Princess SW (AES) in 59.26. Bred and owned by the Thurles-based Ballypatrick Stables, this will be a particularly memorable victory for the Broderick family with this mare sired by Mylord Carthago (SF) being a daughter of the Arraghbeg Clover (ISH), who was herself crowned the 5-Year-Old World Champion  when ridden by […]
