Centuries by Rishabh Pant and Shubhman Gill help India lead against Bangladesh by 514 runs
Centuries by the Indian duo of Shubhman Gill and Rishabh Pant helped India in taking the lead of 514 before captain Rohit Sharma decided to declare the innings.
After Virat got controversially dismissed on Day 2, Pant joined Gill who then managed to score 167 runs before the next wicket.
After making his return to Test cricket in 634 days days due to a serious car accident in December 2022, Pant displayed his usual stroke play as he scored his Test century.
After Pant got dismissed with 109 runs on the table, Gill also reached his fifth Test century.
India surpassed the 150 runs in 44 overs, where Pant also made his half-century in the same over. By the end of first session, Gill and Pant made an unbeaten partnership of 138 off 190 balls.
