Firecracker explodes outside garage in Limassol

A firecracker exploded outside a residential garage in Limassol in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The explosion caused no damage, and the fire was extinguished by the garage’s owner, a 48-year-old man, before it could spread.

The police visited the garage and found the firecracker had been “reinforced” with more explosives.

CCTV footage from the area showed the firecracker being thrown at the garage by a man on the motorcycle.

The garage’s owner alleged that the motorcyclist may have been a 57-year-old man with whom he has financial disputes.

An arrest warrant has been issued against the 57-year-old.
